Who we are

Proofio ("the app") is developed and operated by Kentrix Technologies ("we", "us"). For any privacy question, contact jerry@tradesmatepro.com.

Data we collect

Account information. When you create an account we collect your email address and the credentials needed to sign you in, along with a user ID and basic profile details.
Subscription status. If you purchase a subscription, we store records of your subscription state so we can give you access to paid features. Payments themselves are processed by Google Play — we do not receive or store your card details.
Device-session records. To manage signed-in sessions and account access control, we store a per-device identifier, a device name (for example, manufacturer and model), and the app version.
Inspection content you create. Inspections, photos, drafts, exported reports, and preferences are created and stored locally on your device. If you are signed in and choose to sync, your inspection records (including notes, observations, and tags) are uploaded to our cloud backend so they are backed up and available to your account. Photo image files and generated PDF reports remain on your device and are not uploaded.
Location (optional). If you enable location tracking and grant permission, Proofio captures precise GPS coordinates (latitude, longitude, altitude, and accuracy) and attaches them to the inspection you are working on. If you then sync that inspection while signed in, the coordinates are uploaded with the record. Location tracking is off unless you turn it on, and you can disable it at any time.

How we use data

To create and operate your account and sign you in.
To provide the app's inspection, photo, and reporting features.
To manage subscriptions and access to paid features.
To maintain security, prevent fraud and abuse, and fix problems.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.

How data is stored

Photos, generated PDF reports, and preferences are stored locally on your device. Account data — your profile, subscription status, and device-session records — and, if you sync, your inspection records and any attached location coordinates are stored on managed cloud infrastructure (our Supabase backend) used to operate the service. Local on-device data is protected by your device's storage protections, and stored credentials are encrypted on the device. We retain account and synced data for as long as your account is active. Some features (such as barcode scanning and text recognition) run entirely on your device and do not send images to any server.

Sharing

We share data only with service providers that help us run the app (for example, cloud hosting and authentication, and Google Play for payments and distribution), and only as needed to provide the service. We may disclose information where required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.

Account & data deletion

You can request deletion of your Proofio account and associated account data at any time. See the Proofio account deletion page for what is deleted, what may be retained, and how to make a request. Content stored only on your device can be removed by deleting it in the app or uninstalling the app.

Children

Proofio is intended for use by adults in a work context and is not directed to children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
